Bakit hate mo ang Pure Foods?

"Bakit hate mo ang Pure Foods?" Tanong sa akin ng friend kong si Grazielle Gavino (@aziegavs) who supports PJ Simon and Pure Foods (B-MEG.. fine.)
This question has also been asked by several B-MEG fans in response to "Dear Tim Cone" which was posted on a Pure Foods fan page on Facebook
Sabi ni kuya "bitter" kasi ako.
Sabi ni ate "Ginebra fan" kasi ako.
Sabi nung isa "obsessed" kasi ako.
In fairness, tama naman ang mga comments niyo.
Pero sana bago kayo manghusga ng tao, basahin niyo munang maigi yung blog post.
Nakakasakit kasi kayo ng damdamin.
Chos.

I grew up watching basketball with my uncle who I look up to as my father.
Si Papang Frank.
Siya ang dahilan kung bakit hate na hate ko ang Pure Foods.
Super love ni Papang ang Pure Foods.
"Hawd jud ning si Patrimonio oh!"
Patrimonio is really good!
"Wala ju'y makapildi sa Pure Foods!"
No one can really beat Pure Foods!
"Pure Foods lang jud ang kuyaw, walay lami ubang team."
Pure Foods is the best, the other teams are nothing.
Okay. Fine. Cheer ka lang diyan, 'pang!
Pero, wait! There's more!
"Sus, bala man ang Alaska."
The Alaska team is no good.
"Pildi na sad ang team ni ateng-teng."
Ate's favourite team is going to lose again.
"Tan-awa ilang kots oh, di man na Pinoy. Unsa man na?!"
Look at their coach, he isn't Filipino. What's up with that?
To cut it short, super hater si Papang ng team na super like ko.
At hindi ko talaga feel ang favourite team ni Papang.
Asaran to the max.
Pikon talo ang drama.
At since 6-year old lang ang lola mo, super tanim ng galit ang peg ko.
Wait.
Bago mo ako i-bash, oo, aminado akong mababaw ang rason ko.
Pero walang basagan ng trip, kuya.
So hanggang ngayon, kahit hindi na Alaska ang team ko, tuloy pa rin ang bangayan namin ni Papang.
"Unsa man na si Caguioa oy! Buga-on kaayo!"
What's up with that Caguioa?! He's such a ball hog!
Ang arte ng English ni Papang, di ko ma-imagine.
Pero gets niyo na ba?
Papang will always dislike the team that I love the most.
And I will always extend the same notion to his favourite squad.
Pwera Lakers, kasi magkakampi kami diyan. *apir tayo kung Lakers fan ka rin*

Simula noong bata pa ako, hanggang ngayon na, in fairness naman, medyo matured na ako, puro nega comments ang naririnig ko kay Papang when it comes to my favourite team and players.
At hindi, and I repeat, hindi applicable ang kasabihan na: "Kapag binato ka ng bato, batuhin mo ng tinapay."
Ay, no teh.
War kung war.
"Sus. Pildi na sad ang Pure Foods."
Pure Foods lost, yet again.
"Unsa man na si James Yap oy! Buga-on kaayo!"
What's up with James Yap?! He's such a ball hog!
"Balhin pa gud ng channel beh, wala'y lami Pure Foods. Sos."
Can you change the channel? Pure Foods is playing - no big deal.
So, sana gets niyo na.
And if you've read some of my previous blog posts, you'd know my colourful history when it comes to basketball and my uncle - Papang Frank.
Pero hanggang asaran lang 'yun with Papang.
Hindi ko personally kilala si James Yap, Alvin Patrimonio, and the rest of the team (present or throw back).
At oo, isa sa mga past times ko ang i-criticize ang Pure Foods since 6 years old ako.
PERO. ISANG MALAKING CAPS LOCK NA PERO.
Ang pag-criticize ko sa Pure Foods ay isang malaki at mahabang psych war sa pagitan namin ni Papang lamang.
But seriously though, it's just playful banter, nothing serious. Kaya 'wag niyong seryosohin.
Aminin niyo man o hindi, imposibleng hindi kayo nag-asaran ng kuya, ate, nanay, tatay, o kapit-bahay niyo dahil sa basketball. Sus.
Pero ito lang masasabi ko - wala kang mababasang pangungutiya sa mga players ng Pure Foods dito sa blog ko dahil hindi ko gawain 'yun.
As I've said on my previous blog posts, if I'm hating on something or someone - that's all me. And I'd man up to it.
I don't like Pure Foods for a shallow reason.
I don't like Pure Foods because of a childish grudge.
But that doesn't mean I don't respect them as a team.
That doesn't mean I don't realise how good their players are.
Koyah, naka-ilang MVP ba si Patrimonio? Si James Yap?
You don't need to be a hoop junkie to realise how good the aforementioned players are.
And I'll be the first to admit that they are good, if not great.
Pero ito lang ang tanong ko, kaya mo bang sabihin 'yun for Caguioa?
Kaya mo bang sabihin na magaling din naman ang Ginebra?
Kung oo, friends na tayo.
Kung hindi, pwedeng friends pa rin tayo kung okay lang sa'yo.
But next time, when you come across someone airing out their grievances or whatnots toward something or someone you like, make sure you know the real reason behind their rants before you start hating.
Pasalamat kayo mabait nanay ko at hindi kayo pina-blotter.
Joke lang.
Pero jokes are half-meant.
Joke lang talaga, promise.
And to finish this rant off..
Oo, obsessed ako sa basketball.
Pero hindi ako kasing rabid ng Beliebers at 1Directioners. May buhay ako outside basketball, sana kayo rin.
Oo, Ginebra fan ako.
Pero hindi ibig sabihin hater na ako ng B-MEG. Hater agad? Di ba pwedeng may history muna?
At isang malaking OO, bitter ako.
Pero hindi dahil ayaw ko sa team niyo. Bitter ako kasi, in all fairness and equality, may ibubuga naman talaga kayo.
Sana naman naliwanagan na kayo at sana naman friends na tayo. Pwede rin hindi, kung ayaw niyo.

@sarrah_juana31 here, we almost have the same history. The differences are my father and I love purefoods(namana ko lang),nung bata ako hate ko rin ang ginebra. The similarities, I love basketball, Lakers, PJ SIMON...... =)
