Panatiko: 9 strong years and counting

It all started with photographs of her first live Ginebra game experience which she posted on her self-made website.
Lara Jane Avance. Monaywithcheese. Ate Lars.
Ang founder. Ang haligi ng pamilya. Ang nag-iisa. Yehees.
Since sobrang galing ni Ate Lars, maraming Ginebra fans ang natuwa sa mga pinagpo-post niyang pictures and snippets about the team.
This gave way not only to happy Ginebra fans, but to massive (nakanamaaan) membership through her website, as well.
And to quote her, "the rest is history". Artista ang peg.
March 2004 to be exact.
9 strong years of fellowship.
9 strong years of friendship.
9 strong years of kinship.
Last Saturday, Panatiko had an intimate gathering to celebrate, in advance, its 9th year as a fan group.
Most of the people na kasama sa celebration last Saturday, mid 2000s pa naging ka-Panatiko.
May 2005, 2006, 2007 (ako 'yan!).
Yung iba first time ko nakilala. Yung iba halos isang dekada since we last saw each other.
Pero, kahit ilang taon ka mang hindi magpakita, in ka pa rin. Walang OP-OP.
Yun ang pinakagusto ko sa grupo na 'to ever since naging member ako back in 2007.
Kahit na nung Saturday ko lang nameet o matagal na since huli kaming nagkita - gora pa rin.
Kwentuhan. Kainan. Harutan.
Masaya. Para lang nasa hapag kainan ng isang munting tahanan.
Oo, awkward nung simula. Kahit naman saan, ganun talaga eh.
Pero after a while, relak relak na sila ate't kuya.
Asaran. Tawanan. Picturan.

Si Gelic.
Si Jillian.

And of course, ang panauhing pandangal - Si Stephanie.

But jokes aside, I'm very thankful to be part of a kinship that stuck with each other after 9 long years.
I can't emphasize enough how glad I am to have met crazy awesome Ginebra fans that I could truly connect with.
And after talking to each member present yesterday, I have to agree with what they can say about Pantiko.
It's one big happy group of Ginebra friends who treat each other like brothers and sisters.
Yes. That sums it all up.
